Thushyanthan Baskaran
Thushyanthan Baskaran is a Professor for Public and Regional Economics at the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany). He is also a research associate at the ZEW Mannheim and a CESifo Fellow. His current research focuses on public economics, regional economics and development economics, covering topics such as fiscal capacity, administrative borders, political selection, and economic development.

Carlo Birkholz
Carlo Birkholz is a PhD candidate at the University of Mannheim, and researcher in the Department of Public Finance and Corporate Taxation at the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic. He is also an external affiliate of the Norwegian Centre for Taxation (NoCeT). His broad research interests are in the fields of Development Economics, Political Economy, and Public Finance.

Pietro Bomprezzi
Pietro Bomprezzi is a member of the International Finance and Macroeconomics Research Center at the Kiel Institute and one of the project leaders for the Ukraine Support Tracker. His research background is in international finance and political economy of development. As part of his doctoral thesis at the University of Milan-Bicocca, he studied political distortions in the allocation of aid. He has also been a visiting scientist during his PhD at the Strategy, Policy, and Review department of the IMF and has done policy research at the Joint Research Centre of the EU Commission.

Axel Dreher is professor of International and Development Politics at Heidelberg University and Editor of the Review of International Organizations. Andreas Fuchs
Andreas Fuchs is Professor of Development Economics and Director of the Centre for Modern East Asian Studies at the University of Göttingen and Head of the Kiel Institute China Initiative. His research analyzes trade, investment and development policies with quantitative methods and a special focus on China and other emerging economies. He also investigates the political economy of natural disasters, humanitarian crises, and non-militarized conflicts.

Andreas Kammerlander earned his PhD at the Chair of International Economic Policy at the University of Freiburg. He studied economics at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Freiburg. Currently, he works as a data analyst at ZDF Digital. His previous research mainly focused on the determinants of environmental pollution.

Lennart Kaplan is a postdoctoral researcher at Göttingen University as well as an associate researcher at IfW, Kiel and IDOS, Bonn. Lennart works on the socio-economic effects and the political economy of trade and development finance.
